April 2010 - New Arrival

Squirezona Pets On Parade

Once upon a time, in the lovely land of Squirezona, there lived a beautiful young Princess. She was admired by all, and loved by her parents and friends. However, she carried a heavy burden. The King and Queen, concerned for their eldest daughter, sought counsel from the queen of a nearby land, HawkeyHaven. Her majesty, Queen Christina, related the timely news of a new litter of puppies that were recently born in their land. Her son, Prince Bryce had charge of the care of these puppies. It was the desire of the young prince that each of these puppies would be placed with someone that would love and care for them as he has done. The Queen offered to grant one of these puppies to the young princess with the promise that, as she learns to love, care for and train this young pup, that she will further discover the eternal truth that when we serve others our burdens become lighter and our lives are filled with love.
Touched by the generosity of Queen Christina and Prince Bryce, the King and Queen gave careful consideration to this thoughtful offer. The King was not anxious to add another animal to the royal pet farm, but was persuaded to contemplate the idea. Over a span of time, as they sought direction from the King of all Kings on high, they came to see the wisdom in the counsel of the good Queen, and decided to exercise faith and trust in their young princess, with the hope that she would take on this great responsibility and, though there would still be trials, she would become stronger and her burden would be lighter.
The notable day of celebration of the young princess’ thirteenth year since birth was quickly approaching and it was decided that this would be the perfect opportunity to offer this special gift to her. On the designated day, the King and Queen went to the royal academy and interrupted her noble education in order to present the idea to her. They wanted their princess to know what a great responsibility it was before they introduced her to what would become her best friend and most faithful companion. They were confident that this would help to serve as a reminder for her that she was already of royal birth, long before that special day thirteen years ago when she arrived as a royal newborn citizen of Squirezona. If she will always look at life with that eternal perspective, she will live happily ever after, as all princesses should.
